Hey fam, the weather on the Eastside is flip-flopping faster than a slippery politician! đŚď¸ Buckle up to ride things out for the next two daysârain is in the forecast tonight and tomorrow, with wind advisories in effect until Friday evening. Higher elevations can expect that rain to turn to snow, so some accumulation is likely.
But donât worryâsunny skies return this weekend! âď¸ Highs will be in the 50s, making for prime conditions to get back outside and enjoy the Eastside. Stay safe, stay stoked, and keep an eye on those changing conditions!
Area Conditions:Â
Buttermilks: Some snow is accumulating, and road conditions are expected to get worse with the erosion and precipitation. Take it slow and donât get stuck!
Tablelands: The weekend will most likely be busy. There has been some bee activity in the Sadâs specifically around the French Press area. This cold snap may calm them down, but bee aware with dogs and children, and bring your epi pens if you are allergic.
Pine Creek: Snow and cold over the next couple of days. We will let you know how much accumulation the road gets, but the sunny crags may be melted out and climbable next week.
ORG (Owens River Gorge): Be careful on those river crossings. Levels have been changing rapidly. Windy conditions expected. Significant rainfall also increases rockfall potential over the edge of the gorge, so be cautious and wear helmets.

Sunday â Buttermilk Stewardship before MoBiBo 10 am-12pm (snacks and coffee provided!)

The Bishop Area Climbing Rangers represent a collaboration among the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Inyo National Forest (INF), L.A. Department of Water and Power (LADWP), Bishop Area Climbers Coalition (BACC), Bishop Chamber of Commerce (BCC), Sierra Forever (formerly Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association or ESIA), and Friends of the Inyo (FOI) to promote climbing conservation in the Bishop, CA, Area â specifically in Pine Creek, the Buttermilks, the Volcanic Tablelands, and the Owens River Gorge. Climbing Rangers will support local land managers and supporting organizations by performing a variety of tasks to preserve and maintain our cherished local climbing landscapes.
