Summer is calling and the mountains are answering! It’s officially hiking season here in the Eastern Sierra, and we are excited to be lacing up our boots for a summer full of fun and educational guided interpretive hikes.

Join our education staff for an easy hike around Horseshoe Lake and learn more about the fascinating natural history and geology of the Mammoth Lakes area.

When: Saturday August 1, 10:00am – 11:30am
Where: Meet at the Horseshoe Lake trailhead kiosk by the parking lot
What: Easy 1.75 mile loop hike around Horseshoe Lake.

All ages are welcome, but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

We recommend dressing in weather appropriate layers, having sun protection such as hats and sunglasses, wearing comfortable walking/hiking shoes, and bringing a small pack with water and snacks.
