Burrowing Owls are tiny owls that build their nests in underground tunnels, often using ones already provided by prairie dogs, skunks, armadillos or tortoises. They prefer to hunt at dawn and dusk, but have been known to hunt for a full 24-hour period when feeding their young. They enjoy a wide variety of insects and small rodents, favoring grasshoppers and beetles, and occasionally supplement their diets with fruits and nuts. 1.125″ Hard enamel pin; black metal.
