Alabama Hills Camping Permit

This is a free permit and does not guarantee a designated campsite. All campsites are first-come, first-serve. Please carefully read each regulation and agree to this document. Retain your email confirmation as proof of completion. You may also collect a physical permit from the camping information kiosks on Movie Road or the Eastern Sierra Visitor Center to be signed and displayed on your dashboard. Valid through the end of the calendar year.

Camping is allowed only in Tuttle Creek Campground or at designated sites marked with the camp tent symbol

Don't crush the brush! Place tents, vehicles, kitchens, and other camping equipment on completely bare ground and not on plants

Campfires are only allowed in designated campsites with a valid fire permit. Fires may be prohibited at any time of the year. Fire restriction information: essrp.org/camping or (760) 872-5000. No live or down vegetation may be burned. Free campfire permits are required for propane stoves, grills, and campfires: permit.preventwildfiresca.org

Use the six porta potties in the Alabama Hills or pack out solid human waste and toilet paper using a portable waste system (RV toilet, WAG bag, etc.)

Pack it in, pack it out! Take all waste out including trash, recycling, dog waste, and human waste. Free dumpsters are located at Tuttle Creek Campground

Stay limit is 14 days in a calendar year. Please be considerate of other visitors and reduce noise and light pollution at night
