Inyo National Forest in partnership with ESIA, are premiering a new short film, “Sierra Nevada: Adapting to our Changing Climate” on Thursday, June 27 at 7 pm at the Mountain Rambler Brewery.
“Spanning the Sierra Nevada, especially the Inyo National Forest, the film features stunning aerial visuals and focuses on how fuel reduction projects can help the forest adapt by reducing the effects of severe wildfires and efforts to revive the shrinking habitat of Inyo’s native Golden Trout,” said Egan Cornachione, Rangeland Specialist for Inyo National Forest and principal manager of the film project.
The short film is written, produced, and edited by Inyo National Forest Climate Change Communications Fellow, Miya Tsudome, made possible by a partnership funded through MANNRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Science) in the Forest Service’s Resource Assistant Program.
This film pairs breathtaking videography of the local area and insightful interviews with experts from the Bishop Paiute Tribe, USDA Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Whitebark Insitute. Together we will explore how to answer this challenging question.
