Manzanar: Pilgrimage Weekend Events

Manzanar National Historic Site invites visitors to participate in a weekend of special events in conjunction with the Manzanar Committee’s 54th Annual Pilgrimage. All are welcome and the events are free. There is no food service at Manzanar. Please bring your own chair, a water bottle, and lunch or snacks. Wear sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather.  Pilgrimage weekend begins Friday, April 28, with a public reception with light refreshments 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m hosted by the Friends of Eastern California Museum. This Workshop is sold out.  Email  to join the waitlist.   Join professional wildlife tracker and mountain lion researcher Phil Johnston for a day in the woods learning to read the stories of wild animals through tracking. Phil has over a decade of experience teaching tracking and is certified as Senior Tracker through Tracker Certification North America. Come learn to identify the tracks and sign of the many charismatic creatures who make their living in the Eastern Sierra.
